All repeat prescription requests require a minimum of 48 hours to process. Please do not wait until you have run out of medication. Follow up with your pharmacy after 48 hours to confirm receipt.
Our admin team are not permitted to accept verbal prescription requests over the phone or at reception. Please use one of the methods below.

Requests for opioids (e.g. codeine, tramadol, morphine, oxycodone), benzodiazepines (e.g. diazepam, alprazolam, clonazepam), z-drugs (e.g. zopiclone, zolpidem), or stimulants (e.g. methylphenidate) will only be processed via this form if they are already on an agreed repeat prescription that has been pre-arranged with your GP and approved for monthly prescribing. If you are not sure whether this applies to you, or if you are requesting a controlled drug for the first time, please call us on (01) 840 5940 to arrange a consultation.
Requests may be declined if a GP consultation is deemed necessary for the safety of your treatment. The practice will contact you if this applies. Decisions on prescribing are at the clinical discretion of your GP.
Patients enrolled in the CDM programme require a nurse review every 6 months before repeat prescriptions are issued for their chronic condition medication. Prevention Programme (PP) patients require an annual review. Please request your prescription one week after your review appointment.
Patients on the free contraception scheme must book a review appointment before a prescription can be issued. Please contact us to schedule this in advance.
Repeat prescriptions for private patients are charged at €25. Prescriptions for medical card holders, An Post scheme members, and Garda scheme members are issued at no charge (Garda scheme form required).
