What is an STI screen?

An STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) screen is a thorough examination or set of tests designed to identify the presence of sexually transmitted infections. Early detection allows for prompt treatment and prevents onward transmission.

What does the consultation involve?

A sexual health consultation with us typically takes 15–20 minutes and includes:

  • Blood tests for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C
  • Urine sample for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea
  • Cervical swab for women where indicated

Results

Results typically take approximately 2 weeks. Negative results are sent by text message. Positive results will be communicated by phone or in-person appointment to ensure appropriate follow-up and treatment.

Complete STI screening: €95. This covers the consultation and all standard tests listed above.
